Would You Like $50?

Goood morning!



I had the pleasure and honor of attending a Leadership class last week for 3 days called, "Developing the Leader Within You I"  and I'm fired up and feeling generous!


Soooo, would you like a $50 bill?


What if I crumbled it up? Or stepped on it?


Would you still want that $50?


Ponder that...


I believe that you would! Why? Because despite how dirty or wrinkled that bill is, it is still WORTH $50, right??

So, why do we allow life's circumstances to lessen our value?!


Why do we allow other Human Beings to set the standards for our lives? They don't know a thing about you and what you've been through!

I'm reminded of a song by Whitney Houston here entitled, "I Didn't Know My Own Strength." It very well may be my favorite song by her because of the lyrics in the chorus:

"And I crashed down, and I tumbled
But I did not crumble
I got through all the pain
I didn't know my own strength
Survived my darkest hour
My faith kept me alive
I picked myself back up
Hold my head up high
I was not built to break
I didn't know my own strength"

Let those words marinate for a second and then think about the things that make you valuable; your intellect or your sense of humor? Maybe it is your position at work? I feel that oftentimes women feel worthless because we can't seem to find or hold a title that warrants value even though what we do for this world NO man could ever!

And then I want you to think of some of your CORE values not beliefs, now; Values. Integrity... Helping Others... Loyalty... Honor... Praise... Security... Safety... Sense of Urgency... etc. select just 3 and I challenge you to stick to those values and practice them daily.




I wrote down, Loyalty, Self-Respect, and Helping Others. So I, too, accept the challenge!


I am not here to say that if you stick to your values and practice them that life will get easier because it won't.



Believe me, life is still going to happen; the waves may toss you and the winds may blow... Yes, you may even get a little wet and dirty, but you are STILL valuable! Want to know how I know that you're valuable whether you recognize it or not? Jesus Christ! He thought we were to die for, so He paid the ultimate sacrifice and died on the Cross.


You couldn't begin to put a price tag on that type of love! So, adjust your crown, Sis! And if they see something trailing behind you then let them know that it's just His grace and mercy following you all the days of your life!

Good morning! Like a Bridge Over Troubled Water

Good morning! Happy New Year! I am thrilled and grateful to be here! If you know then you know about me and odd-numbered years- I don't have a very good track record, but this one FEELS different. Let Pain be Gracious

  Welcome Back! First post of the year and I pray that it is not my last! I'm feeling optimistic. I think I can do one post a month or I'll challenge myself to one post a month. I do not know the day nor the hour, so we will be surprised together! But I accept the challenge!
